Event:	3rd annual Men of the Desert Fashion Show

About:	Join us for an afternoon of distinctive and stylish men's attire, modeled by the Desert's most fashionable animal lovers who will be accompanied on the runway by their beloved dogs. The event raises money for Animal Samaritans' no-kill animal shelter and their Animal Care Fund, which provides free services to financially-strapped pet owners with animals in need of life-saving medical care.
Program Includes:	Men's Fashion Show by Mares for Men clothing store in La Quinta, entertainment, luncheon, live auction and opportunity drawing. Special appearances by Broadway Star Donna Theodore, crooner Austin Ray, Mara Getz & Richard Leibell, and local media favorite Bonnie Gilgallon. Returning as Mistress of Ceremonies is local media celebrity Patti Gribow.

Event:	12th Annual Walk for the Animals
Date:	March 31, 2012
Time:	9:00am – 11:00am; registration starts at 8:00am
About:	The event is much more than a dog walk; it attracts hundreds of pet owners from across the Coachella Valley with all types of dogs—from ankle-high Chihuahuas to towering Great Danes. While the event is free to attend, guests are asked to help raise $25,000 through donations, walk pledges, and the purchase of raffle tickets. Ask your friends, relatives, co-workers, and classmates to join forces with you by creating a Walk Team and showing your care and concern for animals at the 2012 Animal Walk. Proceeds go to our Humane Education in the classroom program and to help care for our shelter animals. In addition, members from Animal Samaritans’ veterinary staff will offer pet vaccinations and microchipping. Vaccinations cost $15 - $20 per shot; Microchipping is $25. The event features free animal-themed entertainment including: Acrobatic Frisbee Dogs; local Police K-9 dogs demonstrating attacks on would-be criminals; Drug-sniffing dog demonstrations; Pet costume contests, and the Second Chance Parade of Pets with adoptable dogs from several local animal shelters.
Price:	$0 to attend; donate $25 or more and recieve a shirt, raffle tickets will be available for purchase at the event
