2008 Compassion Awards
Please join us in honoring five of the Desert's most beloved animal welfare advocates and supporters of Animal Samaritans SPCA. On Saturday, May 17, Animal Samaritans will recognize Lindi Biggi, Judd Hadley, Charlene Rands, Connie Schivarelli, and Dee Wambaugh with a 2008 Compassion Award. The luncheon will be held at Spencer's Restaurant in Palm Springs, where dogs on a leash are welcome. The event includes lunch, a state of the organization address from Animal Samaritans, special guest performance, a special sneak peak of the 2009 Animal Samaritans wall calendar and a chance to have your pet photographed and featured in the calendar, followed by recognition of the Compassion Award honorees. The event begins at 12:00 noon and ends at 2:00pm.

Tickets are $75 per seat, or $700 for a table of ten. Desert Luncheon attire. Call 760-343-0837, or reserve tickets online. Seating is limited. We recommend you reserve your tickets early.

Pets on Parade photo contest!
All pet owners and advertisers who submit a photo will receive the 2008 keepsake Pets On Parade photo book.
Date: Photo Contest, Feb. 26 - May 30 (early bird fee); June 6th final deadline.  Submit photos by email or snail mail, color or black and white. Ten animal categories to chose form. Proceeds support Animal Samaritans’ no-cost spay & neuter fund for low-income residents, and help care for adopted and rescued horses at Pegasus Riding Academy for the Handicapped.
